HARTFORD HEALTHCARE MEDICAL GROUP-General Surgery-Bariatrics-Per Diem -Farmington Office
Position Summary:
The APRN/PA will work collaboratively with the surgeons and the healthcare team to provide comprehensive surgical care to t! he Metabolic & Bariatric/General Surgical patient. Located in ! Farmington, this position requires the candidate to participate in community events such as patient education, involvement in community health fairs, marketing and others as needed.
Current CT APRN or PA license and CPR certification, 2+ years' experience in general surgery and/or bariatric surgery or with specialty care such as GI and endocrinology in an ambulatory surgery or acute care setting, excellent communication skills, and demonstrated experience effectively using medical resources (nutrition evaluation, labs, medications, psycho-social needs etc.). The candidate may be required to attend national ASMBS annual conference. This position requires travel to satellite office locations.
Strong surgical experience.
Strong computer skills including solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office software. Experience with medical software preferred.
Positive, customer-focused approach, with commitment to providing excellent patient care.
Proven ability! to work effectively in a team environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate in other languages is highly desirable.
Ability to travel to satellite locations.
