More details about this job opportunity please give attention to these descriptions. Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT has immediate opening for an Academic and Clinical Internist. Acting as an Assistant Director, Department of Medicine, provides dire! ct primary care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient Adult Ambulatory Clinic settings; documents such care in a complete and appropriate manner on a daily basis; submits bills for such care provided on a daily basis; takes night and weekend call in an equitable manner with other members of the department; participates in risk management, quality and safety programs through the department; supervises the clinical and educational activities of internal medicine residents, medical students and mid-level practitioner students in both the hospital and outpatient settings; participates in education-focused activities presented by the department; participates in Committee activities to support the mission and vision of the department; participates in other activities as determined by the Chief of the Department of Medicine that promote safe and quality driven patient care and the education goals of the department. Requires U.S. medical degree or its equivalent; Board Eligi! ble or Board Certified in Internal Medicine; successful comple! tion of an Internal Medicine residency training program that has been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education; must meet requirements for Connecticut medical license, State of Connecticut Controlled Substance Certificate and federal DEA license. Successful completion of a competency-based interview.
