Our client is a Swiss International Engineering and Construction development company in the fields of infrastructure and energy with aspirations to grow as an international developer, investor and contractor for projects in strategically selected high growth infrastructure markets.
Based in Zurich, they are looking for a RENEWABLES EXPERT (M/W)
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:
In order to identify novel project/investment opportunities in solar PV, concentrated solar, wind, and other renewable energies, you will need to investigate select markets. After researching potential development opportunities, you will need to negotiate a set of key terms with our in-house investment, technical, and legal teams. You must provide a comprehensive assessment of financial models, permitting status, and other key success factors to the management. Furthermore, you must collaborate with local development partners to ensure the development and permitting process from acquisition to ready-to-build stage is completed in a timely manner. Additionally, you must provide our senior management with information regarding risk management strategies as well as data for presentations. To stay on top of the latest industry news and policy changes, you must regularly monitor market developments and look out for mid- to long-term business opportunities.
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 8 years of relevant project/ business development experience in renewable energy projects; preferably with an internationally experienced company
- Good understanding of technical and financial value drivers in renewable energy projects
- Deep understanding and experience of local interaction with authorities, local communities, and other stakeholders
- Experience in project management methodologies is considered an advantage
- Financial modelling or relevant technical engineering capability is a plus
- Strong 360-degree communication skills both in English
