Overview
The Mobile Experience & Engineering unit is the central place for SAP’s mobile app development and everything around mobile technology. In our responsibility lies the holistic, persona-centric mobile portfolio definition, the overall mobile app development, including app lifecycle management plus the necessary governance to ensure customer success.
SAP Ariba Shopping is the next generation consumer commerce application, using the latest and greatest Fiori Next Horizon design of SAP.
Th application is intended to bring the B2C shopping and procurement experience to the B2B market with a highest grade of focus on End-User experience. The application is tightly integrated with SAP Ariba and successor backend.
Although the application is developed native for iOS and Android ensuring highest standard and performance, for integration and security standards perspective it is connected to SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
The application had been recently released live and had been selected to be the frontend of SAP’s future procurement solution.
ROLE INFORMATION
We are looking for a highly motivated Mobile Backend Developer with consultative capabilities to join our team in Budapest to take over and drive the development and support reusable integration services for the BTP backend of our next-generation native mobile applications in SAP Ariba environment.
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity that is perfect for developers who are committed, have an open mind, and are eager to join a dynamic, startup-minded development team. The position requires a variety of development and consultative skills that the candidate will bring or be willing and capable of learning.
Our team is directly driving customer engagements activities where we are introducing the solution, holding customer demos, supporting Solution Management and sales organizations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain features of SAP Ariba Shopping BTP Middelware service in Java.
- Learn and drive existing 3rd Party Vendor development, and take over ownership on deliverables.
- Create unit-test and automate test scripts for developed features
- Participate in daily scrums and follow agile development principles
- Work closely with Developers, QA, UX Designer, PO, and Knowledge Management
- Continue to learn and improve technical skills, stay current with the latest technology, software design, Fiori Elements, SAP’s Business Technology platform, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Participating and contribute in direct customer engagements and represent the team in regards to the BTP Middleware service.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years programming experience in Java, Spring (Code, boot, MVC, Security)
- Solid background in computer software development fundamentals and technologies (GitHub)
- Willingness to learn I SAP BTP Platform
- Experience with agile software development methodologies
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in OData, OpenAPI, JSON or data modelling
- Experience with mobile technologies
- Experience with SAP systems and technologies
- Experience in agile work environments and Scrum driven projects
- Experience on SAP Ariba is a nice to have
- Consulting skills
