Financial Analyst
Hours: FT 40 Hours
Location: Wethersfield, CT
Summary:
Position Summary: Supports complex databases used in Hartford HealthCare Medical Group and througout the healthcare system. Data reporting and Lease contract coordination
As part of the Finance team for the HHC Medical Group, you will be responsible for pulling data from multiple ! systems to organize and produce data reports on key operationa! l metrics and statistics. This position requires working with senior leadership to understand their reporting needs and to develop, maintain and distribute reports for practice management and statistical reporting. Produces and submits key reports to HHC System Support within the required deadlines.
Responsibilities include maintaining lease contracts in Meditract system to track key renewal and termination dates. Lease payments will be prepared per the terms of the contracts. As needed, you will contact landlords and property management companies to resolve payment or contract issues.
As a member of the Finance team, you will assist with the month end close process and reporting and support other members to support the goals and work of the department. Ability to learn other functions and to train others for back-up is expected.
Requirements: Bachelor degree in business related field, ideally with emphasis in finance, statistics, accountin! g or math required. Master's Degree preferred. Three years of business related experience required. Experience in extracting data and compiling reports with relevant analysis as well as experience with contract management with an understanding of contract law. Healthcare finance experience preferred. Ability to access and manipulate data using queries and working with data marts and to analyze data sets to validate information. Problem solving and critical thinking skills along with strong organizational and time management skills required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Intermediate skills using Word and Excel.
