Location: Bristol, CT ( This position would begin in Plainville, but move to B! ristol 10/1/13)
Job Summary: Under the direction of the Practice Administrator, the Practice Coordinator is responsiblefor managing the daily operations of the practice and performing a variety of administrative functions related to t he daily operations of the practice.
Minimum Qualifications: Associates Degree in Business Management or equivalent experience required. A minimum of 3 years of supervisory or management experience in a physician private office, primary care preferred. Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codes required. Knowledge of Connecticut health insurance plans coverage and billing policies.Exceptional communication and customer service skills required. Knowledge of physician automated billing and scheduling systems. Experience and working knowledge of EMR systems, Cerner PowerWorksis highly preferred. Ability to solve problems and work independently with initiative minimal direction. Teamwork and mentoring skills. Ability to prior! itize and handle multiple tasks in a professional and organize! d manner while in a busy environment.
