Responsible for facilitating new patient entry into practice prioritizing the appointments based on patient needs. Responsible for providing support and performing duties in a manner that ensures excellent and efficient customer service and patient care. Report to a designated team leader, practice manager or site manager.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma required. Associate degree preferred.
- Experience in customer service job preferred. Healthcare experience preferred. Bilingual-Spanish preferred. .
- Excellent customer service skills especially in telephone interactions; Positive, customer-focused approach, with commitment to providing excellent patient care.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with excellent prioritization skills and attention to detail.
- Strong working knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Strong computer skills including solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office software. Experience with medical software preferred.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrates a commitment to superior service.
- Maintains a positive, achievement-oriented attitude and influences others to do the same.
- Proactively takes action to achieve goals beyond what is required or assigned.
- Polite and helpful when interacting with all internal and external customers. Communicates tactfully and effectively.
- Establishes and maintains effective work relationships.
- Supports new ideas and exercises flexibility as changes are initiated.
- Adheres to practice standards of service and to HIPAA requirements.
The Group maintains offices in almost 50 convenient locations throughout the region. The group provides inpatient surgical services at Hartford Hospital, Hospital of Central Connecticut, Windham Hospital, and MidState Medical Center.
