Silver Hill Hospital, a nationally prominent psychiatric hospital in New Canaan, CT, is seeking a half-time internal medicine or family medicine physician. Silver Hill is a pri! vate, not-for-profit hospital that admits approximately 2500 patients annually. It has a medical staff of 12 full-time and 4 part-time attending psychiatrists, 20 "moonlighting" psychiatrists for evening and weekend coverage and 2 part-time pain specialists.
The role of the internal medicine [family practice] physician will be to conduct physical examinations on approximately 5-7 patients on weekdays, to manage co-occurring medical problems and to interact with nearby general medical hospitals when patient transfers to or from Silver Hill as indicated.
