Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale New Haven Healt! h, is seeking to add a BE/BC Geriatrician (family practice or internal medicine) to its robust and growing geriatric service line. This 425 bed urban teaching hospital is located adjacent to Long Island Sound and just 75 minutes to Midtown Manhattan , has just been rated #1 in Fairfield County for Geriatrics by US News and World Reports 2011-2012 Best Hospitals Ranking.
This is a unique opportunity to join a solid, well educated, compassionate team of physicians that provide: consultative services in a thriving ambulatory geriatrics assessment center with EMR, patient evaluations in the home and an ECF, inpatient consults, and mentor residents and fellows at Bridgeport Hospital. A strong compensation (in accordance with MGMA) and benefits package includes CME, paid malpractice, 403B, pension, relocation expenses and up to $200K in loan repayment incentives. The incoming physician will also be eligible for an academic appointment at Yale School of Medicine. This pos! ition can support an H1B visa.
