The incoming physician will round a various skilled nursing facilities in the community and manage inpatient geriatric consultations as well. Skilled nursing work will include doing follow up visits, admissions and discharges. The census varies between each facility but averages 65% long-term patients with 35% post-op rehab patients.
There is also a likely opportunity for medical director role. The group is offering a guaranteed base salary along with production bonuses paid out every six months. The group will cover malpractice coverage, relocation assistance, and partnership is offered after the second year with no buy-in required. Full benefits include: health insurance-life insurance-two weeks vacation and an additional week off for CME and $1,000 allowance-retirement planning.
