- Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide in all units of measure, using ratios, whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Proficient in the Print, Work functions and sequel queries in Element LIMS and uses them to carry out analyses and required tasks.

High School diploma or GED- BA or BS in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Environmental Science, Biochemistry, Statistics or Applied Mathematics from an accredited four-year college or university preferred.
- At least one-year of professional working experience.
- Working knowledge of basic laboratory techniques and use of support equipment needed to perform laboratory analyses and generate data or ability to learn.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Entry level proficiency in Laboratory Information Management System or ability to learn.
Prepares and analyzes samples in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).- Handles a variety of sample matrices and chemicals daily.
- Sets and maintains instrumentation and equipment for analysis as needed.
- Follows specified Data Review and Validation processes to ensure all data generated is accurate and complete.
- Meets regulatory and project specific quality control requirements and turn-around times.
- Applies knowledge of proper standard and reagent preparation techniques.
- Applies knowledge of Traceability requirements demonstrated by keeping accurate and up to date records of use and preparation of standards and reagents.
- Follows all safety policies and procedures to ensure safe working conditions.

Description
The Analyst I is an entry level position responsible for executing the day-to-day operations of the department by executing laboratory assistance, sample analysis and utilizing basic instrumentation and equipment. It is expected that by carrying out this role one will gain an understanding of LIMS, Quality Control requirements and Quality systems that allows them to perform the essential duties of the job independently.
