Position Summary: Responsible for managing designated operational unit to ensure superior c! ustomer service and patient care in a highly efficient and cost-effective manner. Oversees clinical operations, as well as registration, scheduling and medical records activities supporting designated practices. Acts as point person for any and all Practice related activities and issues.

Additional Direct Reports may exist within specific practices, including RN, LPN, Sonographer or Aesthetician. This position reports to the Regional Director.
Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is one of the largest multi-specialty practices in Connecticut and one of the largest in Southern New England with over 250 providers practicing in over 30 different specialty areas.
The Group maintains offices in almost 50 convenient locations throughout the region. The group provides inpatient surgical servic! es at Hartford Hospital, Hospital of Central Connecticut, Wind! ham Hospital, and MidState Medical Center.

Physicians of Hartford HealthCare Medical Group maintain their role as innovators of high quality surgical care through their active participation in teaching and research activities. They are on the faculty of the University of Connecticut Medical School and are faculty for the Hartford Hospital residency programs. In addition, the group recently developed the Connecticut Surgical Education & Research Foundation in response to a variety of industry and pharmaceutical companies that were interested in partnering to identify ways of improving care.

Qualifications/Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare management or a related field, or equivalent experience; advanced clinical or business credentials preferred.
Minimum 5 years medical practice management experience, preferably in a multi-site practice.
Experience providing effective business leadership to physicians.
Revenue Cycle Functions a plus
Ability to refine, reorganize or redirect workflow in a timely manner to optimize resources.
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple competing tasks and demands.
Strong customer service orientation.
Strong human resource management skills.
Proficiency in computer software applications (MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with IDX useful.
Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills. High attention to detail! , accuracy and follow-through.
Ability to travel independently.
