Provide comprehensive primary care services (according to their training) to those patients who choose to use the health centers.
We are seeking a full-time Internist/Family Physician with interest in Primary Care to join a progressive Federally Qualified Healthcare Center medical staff that provides medical services to a culturally diverse population in Hartford, CT.
The physician will be responsible for providing effective delivery of outpatient medical care and involves working collaboratively with a team of physicians, APRNs and Physician Assistants. The physician will participate in the roster for covering health center hours Monday through Saturday.
Candidates must have an unrestricted license to practice medicine in Connecticut. Board eligibility or Board Certification in the respective specialty is mandatory and the applicant must be eligible to obtain medical staff privileges at local acute care hospital(s). Applicants should have a s! trong clinical background and administrative experience as wel! l as fluency in Spanish will be of added value. Experience working in a community based health care setting and a commitment to providing care to underserved population will be a distinct advantage.
